Mary C. Davies, MD, FACP

Mary C. Davies, MD, FACP is a lifetime resident of South Central Pennsylvania and has a deep commitment to promoting the health and well being of her patients and the community at large. Dr. Davies was raised in Camp Hill and graduated from Trinity High School.

Inspired by her father’s struggle with COPD, she began her career in healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist after graduating from Millersville University with a BS in Biology and Respiratory Therapy in 1988. After working for several years in the area, she pursued a Master of Medical Science at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, graduating in 1996.

Dr. Davies received her Doctor of Medicine from MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine, Drexel University, Philadelphia, in 2001. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of several honors including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the MCP-Hahnemann Department of Medicine Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence; the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation of the American Medical Women’s Association, presented to women students who have achieved academic excellence; the Van Buren O. Hammett Memorial Award for outstanding performance in Psychiatry and the Medical Humanities Award for historical research conducted regarding pioneering women in medicine and surgery. She served two years in General Surgery and Otolaryngology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before completing a Residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh where she was nominated for the Golden Stethoscope Award for excellence in teaching as a Resident.

Her early career was focused on medical education and hospital-based medicine where she was faced with the growing need for comprehensive primary care where grass-roots management of chronic illness and coordination of care could prevent or decrease hospitalization and morbidity of disease. She espouses a team-approach to care where the patient is an integral participant in their overall health and wellness and is excited for the opportunity to provide leadership in this regard to her patients in South Central PA as their primary physician.

Dr. Davies is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a Member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and Cumberland County Medical Society.

She resides in Camp Hill with her daughter, with whom she enjoys participating in school activities, scouting, roller-skating, and visiting amusement parks, concerts, and museums. She is an avid reader and is learning to golf, a pursuit which she suspects may last a lifetime.
